Juan Carlos Rios, Cultural Coordinator

Juan Carlos Rios, Cultural Officer Juan worked as a lawyer in Peru, and pursued a career as a musician when he arrived in Australia. This experience in the arts led him to join ARCCO as a cultural officer. Juan organises culturally diverse events, programs and activities with a focus on positive social impact. An example of how Juan’s projects bring people together is ‘Casa de los Abuelos’ – a social program for the elderly Latin American community to continue their cultural traditions, fighting the issue of isolation and loneliness. He finds meeting people from different cultures the most rewarding part of his work here at ARCCO.
