The Sydney Inner West Community.A.Fair is a community event where people can access information & services, connect with local groups, enjoy live entertainment and a free BBQ, and shop at our low-cost Food Pantry.

Community.A.Fair is always FREE, and all everyone is welcome, including children and pets.

In 2018, the  Inner West Community A Fair will be held three times, during school holidays, in Gumbramorra Hall  (across the car-park inside Addison Road Community Centre 142 Addison Road, Marrickville) on :

Wednesday 18th of April, 10am to 1pm—With a range of services and activities focused around the National Trust Heritage Festival theme “My Culture, My Story” and Youth Week.

Wednesday 11th of July, 10am to 1pm—With a range of services and activities focused around Naidoc Week.

Wednesday 3rd of October, 10am to 1pm—With a range of services and activities focused around Mental Health month and World Habitat Day. 

Services and activities at Community.A.Fair include: advice on electricity bills, consumer advice, tips on TAFE courses, homelessness help, Medicare and Centrelink questions answered, creative games for children, a jumping castle, heritage walking tours, legal services, health & addiction services, music and a free BBQ.


There will also be four mini-Community.A.Fairs held throughout the year at ARCCO’s Food Pantry. These will be tailored to the needs and interests of Food Pantry customers and the services represented will be announced beforehand.

WHEN: The first Wednesday of the month in March, May, June,  August and September, from 10am – 12:30pm

WHERE: The ARCCO Food Pantry, 142 Addison Rd., Marrickville

The Community.A.Fair is a collaborative community activity between government and non-government organisations. The aim is to reach the people of the Inner West to provide ‘on the spot’ services and referrals in a fun and fair-like atmosphere in a sustainable, respectful and thoughtful way.

The Community.A.Fair is co-organised by Addison Road Community Centre Organisation (ARCCO) and the Department of Human Services, and includes a working committee made up of participating government and non-government services.
