Take the self-guided walking trail of the Addison Road Community Centre, with text and visuals showing the different stages of the site’s evolution. From pre-colonisation it takes us through the various periods; a market garden; army barracks; to the birth of multiculturalism and and the community centre. Uncover our site’s unique layers of history as you follow the signage around the gardens and buildings.
Where: Begins at the front gates of the Addison Road Community Centre, 142 Addison Road.
When: Self-guided tours can be taken every day of the week. (NOT recommended on Sundays due to markets limiting accessibility).
Regular guided tours take place every Friday morning at 10 am (excluding holidays). Tours start at the front gates of the Centre and are of general interest; suitable for individuals, families, business associations, seniors and other community-based groups.
