An annual exhibition for public school students from the Greater Sydney region.
Public School students from the Greater Sydney region are invited to showcase their creative work during Education Week, providing them with the exciting experience of exhibiting in the gallery and performance spaces of the Addison Road Community Centre – an Inner West cultural hub. The festival is organised with the participation of a Youth Board, made up of students from various schools.
Join us in 2018!
Registrations are now open, and participation is free of charge.
The theme for 2018 is Working Together.
Opening night for this year’s festival is Friday 3rd August, from 6pm at the Addison Road Community Centre’s StirrUP Gallery.
The festival exhibition will run from Saturday 4th August to Friday 10th August, 10am to 3pm
School visits to the StirrUP Gallery are encouraged, and can also include visiting our Heritage Trail and/or a guided walk. Please contact email@example.com to arrange beforehand.
Artworks must be created collaboratively, and can be made in regular classes or as part of extra curricular activities. Works do not have to be made specifically for the festival – we aim to showcase the brilliant work already being made in public schools – so long as they fit the theme (2018: Working Together), and have been created collaboratively.
We are developing clearer guidelines regarding size, weight, mounting, etc, and will be in touch with registered school as soon as these are ready.
You can contact the centre on (02) 9569 7633 with any enquiries, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Addison Road Community Centre Organisation works with the Inner City Teachers’ Association, local teachers and Drawn to Seeing to hold the Public Schools Arts Festival.
