The Food Pantry makes good food affordable and accessible to all.
If you’re on a low income, are unemployed, or struggling to get by, shopping at the Food Pantry will help stretch your budget. We have all sorts of good quality groceries and household products at affordable prices, plus free fruit, vegetables and bread. We rescue excess food and products from businesses locally, as well as ordering from Food bank NSW, who do this on a larger scale.

How You can help
•Become a volunteer. We need volunteers to help run the store, source food from that we can pick up from local businesses in our Food Rescue Van, and promote the Food Pantry.
•Donate. We welcome donations of food, toiletries and cleaning products from your own pantry, veggie garden or business. Donations of non perishables can be dropped off at Hut 1, 142 Addison Rd on weekdays from 9 – 5. Fresh food can only be accepted on days that Food Pantry is open.
•Sponsor. Monetary donations are welcome, and will help us to purchase products that we can’t always source cheaply (such as nappies and cleaning products), as well as create vouchers for people who can’t afford to shop at all.
•Buy vouchers. The vouchers will be given to people in crisis who don’t have money to shop. We have a very small budget and run to cover costs, so this allows us to make Food Pantry accessible to more people.
Get in touch with email@example.com if you’d like to get involved!
Information for community service organisations
If you know people who would benefit from Food Pantry, please send them along.
A voucher system is available for community organisations. If your organisation works face to face with people who may need emergency food relief you can purchase vouchers to provide them with access to the Food Pantry.
Please read the information for services , and contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to place an order.
We set up the Food Pantry to help address the struggles local people are facing to due to the rising costs of housing and basic services. This project is part of our broader program which uses research and advocacy to address inequality and the policies that create it.
